A whole lot
of tradition packed into a small place!
From
front to back, Adair's Saloon is literally covered with the memories of
the times that have been had by the people who have spent time here. From
the time you set foot in Adair's, you can't help but to feel at home.
On the walls you will see photos of some famous and not so famous folks
that Adair's owner, Lois Adair, has come across including a blown up photo
taken of Lois and some guy named Elvis Presley back in 1955. Also on the
wall s
and everything else in sight, you will see what some would consider
graffiti...
most people around Adair's will tell you it's tradition.
At the front
of the building, directly in front of the window, you'll find the stage
where many an artist has graced. From the likes of the Dixie
Chicks
and Jack Ingram, so many of these Artists made there way from the stage
at Adair's to the national spotlight. You will also see and hear the best
upcoming bands tooling their craft on this very same stage.
On each of
the tattered tables you'll find your necessary condiments for enjoying
what has been called the best burger in Texas. Among these items, you'll
find salt, pepper, tobacco, napkins and a marker so
that you can make your mark in Adair's!
Coming to the bar, you'll find
someone like Paul pouring drinks and handing out beers. When a band's
not playing and someone forgets about the jukebox, you may even be lucky
enough to hear Paul sing one of his favorite songs for you. Over at the
famous Adair's juke box, you will find everything from the classic Bob
Wills and Hank Williams to the upcoming artists that have graced
the Adair's stage.
Moving on down the bar, you'll
find the Golf video game and shuffleboard for your additional entertainment.
A quick stop at the kitchen and you can grab yourself one of Adair's legendary
burgers, some fries or a grilled ham and cheese. Adair's has two pool
tables located at the back and seating for the whole group. The bathrooms...
well, the bathrooms are legendary in their own rite. We'll leave it at
that.
It's not just another
hole-in-the-wall honky tonk, it's Adair's Saloon, the best hole-in-the-wall,
burger, beer and live music joint around.
